what specifically do humans do at the time of a hurricane? Do they stand on there roofs and try to get rescued by a helicopter? What if they didnt leave before the hurricane happened? please give me other awnsers besides DIE

I was always told to keep off the phone during a storm. In fact, my father's house was hit by lightening which ruined his phone. This was back in the day....when the phone reciever was connected to the phone by a cord. I was on the phone recently and it started to storm, and my instinct is to GET OFF THE PHONE!!! Does anyone know anything about this?

I always thought they were the same thing, until I Wikipedia'd it and they were too seperate entities and I didn't comprehend the scientific jargon of a cyclone to tell if it actually was a tornado or not. Haha, any help is appreciated!

When there is a windy day, the wind that you feel, is it the same wind traveling in a circle, or is it "new" wind coming from wherever wind originates. Like if you set an invisible cord on a 1 square mile radius, the wind being felt, is it just circling, or is it coming from somewhere else? Also, how does wind originate? Where does it come from and how does it form?

there is alot of small house behind mind i'm in a suburb of chicago and the clouds look horrible im scared it might be a tornado and i have my t.v on and there has been not even 1 tornado watch alert or tornado warning but on my life behind my window there was a cloud that looked like a funnel forming.. i scared terrified but there has been no warning :( i need 2 be prepared so i took this pic, what to you guys think?? i didnt capture the funnel looking cloud because the flash of the camera got in the way so i took this with my razr:

This Hurricane is the only one ever known to have gone backwards back out to sea.
It was massive in size and would have caused severe damage to many states along the east coast.
But instead of traveling along it's intended course it suddenly with no explanation went backwards back out to sea as if a hand had pushed it back.
I want to know the name of this Hurricane and any details if you have it so I can research more about it myself.
This is amazing and actually a miracle that hardly anyone is aware of.
Thanks in advance for any help you might be able to provide me with.

Are there really people who don't believe our planet's weather is changing in the extreme?

How old are you? If you're younger than 20, you don't really have the experience to refer to to make a negative opinion about it! I'm nearly 50 & I'll tell you, the Earth's weather is getting worse & worse every year!!!!

I remember, as a child, when nothing changed & everything was predictable & you could set your clock to how the weather would be according to the calendar. But today, nearly 30 to 40 years later, it's nuts!

The streets never pile up with snow anymore, that stays for months like it used to in my city. The Spring came a month early this year! We have tornadoes come through the city now where tornadoes were just a thing we saw on TV or in movies before! Our trees don't know WHAT's going on & sometimes start budding too early or don't bud at all for a year!

Are you argueing the reality of radical weather change just to be contrary? That's a dangerous prank to play
