Right in the beginning, it says 'June 1969', and Jo's father then mentions 'might be an F5'. The F scale wasn't created until 1971. I noticed that one while I was up late one night in college watching Twister, haha.
Also, they keep mentioning NSSL. NSSL doesn't issue watches or warnings, they are a research laboratory. The storm prediction center (SPC) issues watches - the local offices issue the warnings.
The storms that the tornadoes are coming from do not look very realistic. They lack the typical supercell structure as well as wall cloud that a tornado would be coming from.
Some of the phrases they used are definitely not used in real life. From a coworker and chaser: "Suck zone" is completely made up...so is "cone of silence", "sisters", and "sidewinder!"

not sure, but HB is very interested in finding out. He just went on a tornado chasing adventure. He learned a lot while on the trip. He hopes to rewatch it and see it he can tell.
