Of course Katrina, but I went through Hurricane Alicia in my home in the hallway covered with blankets with my mother and 2 daughters in Houston, Texas, in August 1983. My home was between I-45 and Veterans' Memorial off Hwy 249 and it took out the wooden fence in the backyard, tore the patio cover off the back of the house, roof damage and to say the least it was intense wind and rain.

Sin brings storms and tempests into the soul, into the family, into churches and into nations; it is a disquieting, disturbing thing. Storms are a call by God to arise and call on the name of the Lord.

God has many ways of bringing to light hidden sins and sinners, and making manifest that folly which was thought to be hid from the eyes of all living.

This is from a Matthew Henry commentary on verses 4-7 of Jonah.

Of all the hurricanes which have passed, none sticks out of my mind more than ''Hurricane Katrina''. I don't want to compare, but to me it was the worst by far.

In terms of fatalites, I woud say the hurricane of 1900, that killed over 100 people, but in terms of destruction, that's a tough one, I would have to split it between two Katrina and Adnrew.
