When u have a lightning strike it generates a magnetic spike which induces voltage into all the wires in the area. In systems like burglar alarms the voltage is pretty low so the induced voltage gives u a false alarm.

The lightning carries energy. That energy makes the air molecules move back and forth in a compressional wave making sound. That sound is so emense that moved with so much energy and force that motion detectors thought it was movement setting off the alarms.

IT IS CAUSED BY THE MAGNETIC FORCE THAT LIGHTING HAS
REMEMBER ITS ELECTRICTY THAT TRAVELS IN LIGHTING
THE LIGHTING SENDS A MAGNETIC ELECTRICFING THING THROUGH TO THE ALARM THATS WHY THEY SAY IS BAD TO BE NEXT TO METAL WHEN LIGHTING IS HAPPENING
