Hey,

I typically looove science. I REALLY want to be a scientist. However, my dad says it's a really hard job and I've heard some negative comments about it. So Im thinking about either majoring to be a scientist or and obg doctor. I dont care if it's hard!!

Who makes more money??

1) An OBG doctor

OR

2) A Earth Science Scientist that discovers stuff about the earth and goes to space

How much does each one make in NY per year??

Thank You.

Also, which one you think matches me if I love science??
A scientist OR an OBG doctor??

I've answered a few physics and chemistry calculation questions and have discovered that people who answered earlier than me wait a few days , then edit their answers to resemble mine (which is more complete and accurate than theirs). Since their answers are still considered "earlier" it looks to outsiders that they had the better answer first!

Maybe I'm crazy, but it seems to me that if the Mobil process allows the generation of gasoline from methanol (wood alcohol, the bad stuff you don't want in moonshine), and the Karrick process allows the conversion of coal to gasoline, and charcoal is created by heating plant fibers and animal bones (readily available in the trash), and charcoal is impure carbon that is roughly as good as bitumenious coal, then why can't we harvest the power of our trash to fight Middle Eastern oil? The landfills could make the charcoal that is then converted to gasoline through the Karrick process. If not, methane is abundant and can be used to synthesize methanol. I found this in Wikipedia and am curious why we pay three dollars in gasoline with one idiot advocating an additional DOLLAR tax on gas.

I was not allowed to crush a fly on the floor due to the fact that my co-worker said worms would come out of the fly. Regardless, we made a bet (lunch), and whoever gets the majority of votes, wins the bet.

When someone first told me of this institution, I honestly thought I was hearing a joke. I kept waiting for the punchline. On learning that it was actually real, I had a good laugh for a while. Silly old creationists, I thought. Then, on the radio last week, I heard a proud father say how he was taking his infant children to the museum so that "they could learn the truth about Man's place in the world", because he was concerned about his kids being taught evolutionary theory in school. Apparently, even the mere idea of his children hearing both sides of the argument was unthinkable. He also seemed to be under the impression that a trip to this museum was a satisfactory substitute for a school-based education. I didn't find that idea quite so funny. How do you people feel?
