Question about concrete foundation ( Pressure Engineering) PLEASE HELP?

A load of 12 tonnes is applied through a steel column onto a reinforced square concrete pad foundation. If the bearing capacity of the soil is 120KN/M2 and a factor of safety of 3 is to be applied,
Foundation area required is therefore
LOAD = 12TONNES = 12X 9.8067 KN.
ALLOWABLE BEARING STRESS = 12O/3 = 40 KN/MSQ.
FOUNDATION AREA = 12X 9.8067/40 = 2.942SQ.M

But, if the same load was applied over each metre run of a wall to be supported on a strip foundation, what minimum width of foundation would then be required, assuming the same bearing capacity and factor of safety were applied??????.

in long term memory the nucleus of the neuron that received that information so many times is determined to synthetize new proteins that increase the shape of the synapse. my question is: are those proteins genetically codified and if not how does the nucleus know their structure in order to synthetize them? i would appreciate some examples of such proteins

In the first chapter, why is the author telling me stuff about Euclidean geometry, Plato's ideal world, the axiom of choice and everything else? I can't see the relationships between the information he provided in chapter 1 with the rest of the book.

Also, do you think that this book is too advanced for me, and what do you think the age limit is for this book?
- Have no prior experience in physics
- Only gone through Calculus 1 and most of Calculus 2
-I am pretty good at math
- I am 17 years old
