dont include the inventions that are invented upto now. think and post what would be the ultimate invention of this era before earth destroyed by some natural calamity or by atomic war. the humans of this era think that they are most smart from all pervious versions and cultures that were ever existed on earth. it is a question of science fiction, and your imaginations. do religion gives us any hint about it?

I work part-time in a party store, and one thing I do is inflate rubber (latex) balloons with a helium tank.

When putting together balloon bouquets, sometimes a balloon gets right near my ear. When this happens, suddenly all sound coming to that ear is muffled and/or distorted in a very weird way! It almost makes my ear feel physically uncomfortable, like something's in my ear that changed the pressure.

I've never noticed this with anything else next to my ear, even big things like pillows or plastic bags. It ONLY happens with latex balloons. I suspect the answer has something to do with physics (a subject never studied by mathematically-challenged me! heh)

Thanks for your help in answering yet another of my eccentric questions! :)

Is there such a thing as ABSOLUTE silence. On a windless night I was driving across the Libyan Desert and stopped my truck to 'hear' silence. It took about 40 minutes for my truck engine to cool down and stop hissing and banging. When it did I could still detect a very, very faint humming in my ears. Why??

c) the human eye is able to move the lens forward or backwards slightly, changing the focal length. In a camera, the diaphragm opens and closes to change the focal length.
d) Cameras focus by changing the lens that light passes through. The human eye focuses by changing the shape of the lens
