As a young student a prof. told us that some individuals with an underlying neuro problem could start fitting if B12 was given in larger doses.
The Prof is dead and I was young at the time. The prof was correct in almost every bit of advice she gave even before some of the research was done!

They keep changing what and when it means to be dead. 100 years ago if your heart stopped you'd be dead...Now even lack of brain activity as in certain brain surgeries...isn't a reliable cut off. Who knows what Future Nanotecnology will bring?

for someone who teaches EKG. What is the answer for the following question.
" Which of the following electrocardiograph leads records electrical activity from the midpoint between the left arm and left leg to the right arm?"
Is the answer lead III or aVR? My teacher said it's lead III. But my textbook said it's aVR lead. My teacher mark it wrong on the test and wouldn't give me the point back. I'm really upset. Why is the information in textbook different than what is on the test?

I was recently hospitalized due to my very first severe attack with colitis. I have always suffered along with this ailment throughout my childhood and now well into my 50's. However, it has always subsided with a common sense diet etc but no medication. This time around I could do nothing to stop the pain and even had intestinal bleeding. The doctor released me from the hospital with a very restricted diet. I am on 2 courses of antibiotics and pain killers. I have been home for 3 days and am just beginning to feel better. I have just started eating solids like baby food, jello, toast, cottage cheese etc. Can I ever try chocolate or any of the other foods I so love again? I will be going for a colonoscopy soon and have made an appointment with another doctor. My sons have Crohn's desease. This seems to run in our family. What else can I expect from this illness?

I mean, if you get stabbed or have an accident that cuts you open, you can bleed to death. Yet they can make a 10 inch cut in your abdomen for an operation and no blood!! How come?

Hey guys, I'm thinking about publishing one of my journals. I have a special talent for writing and have won several competitions in this field. The most exciting year of my life is coming up (this next year, 2007) and many things will be happening... of course I'll be keeping a journal, because I just do. But I was thinking about maybe looking into getting it published... I'll think about this as I write it, and possible change names, or if needed, embelish it a little. Many topics that will happen next year, I think some people would be inclined toward reading about, such as, me getting my drivers licence, going on a trip around the world, getting closer to graduation, staying steady with my boyfriend, the birth of my baby brother, and the most important :getting closer to God.
So, if you could, do you think you could tell me if this is something you think would be worth reading.. or if you have any tips about how to get something published Any advice or input would be appreciated

I was wondering: which is better for basic pain relief, products with ibuprofen or acetaminophen? Or is it eventually up to the brand (i.e., generic ibuprofen tablets against Advil)?
