I need a simple latch that can accept a momentary high signal and send a high output until a reset signal turns the output low. I am thinking that I can just tie together the clock and the input together on a positive edge D-latch to accomplish this. However, I also know that it all assumes the fact that the input and the clock will be seeing a high signal at exactly the same. Will this work or so I need to try something else?

I'm just about to graduate with a masters in Mechanical Engineering.

I want, ultimately, to end up in South America, working on something ethically sound - perhaps developmental work, appropriate technology, something like that.

I've found companies that work in energy, some that make the slums permanent living places, but nothing's really jumped out.

Does anyone know of any companies that I can investigate that might be suitable?

(I'm willing to work a few years in the UK first to get experience/qualifications and am most interested in CAD/draughtsman/design-type positions, but am open-minded)

Many thanks..

If pulse generator is used instead of the clock block, do you know what is a resonable period? If out of the menu for the pulse generator I have:
'Pulse Type': time based
'Time (t)': Use simulation time
'Amplitude': 1
'Period': 2
'Pulse Width': 50
'Phase Delay':0
and 'Iterpret vector parameters as 1-D' checked.

Because I am trying to use the pulse generator as a clock to input into each of 3 JK flip flop clock ports. When this is performed with a period of 2 I am not getting the correct truth table outputted from the JK flip flops (3 bit up/down counter).

I live on a street with a sharp road corner. Many cars went around the corner too fast and hit my house throughout the last 20 years. I was told to move, but I love my corner neighborhood status. How would I build pillars of concrete at the right height to stop vehicles passing through..
