The tricolor LED's in question are custom common anode LED's from Proton LED in Lyons GA. I heard that because of heat, the total package current had to be less than the sum of the cathodes.

I would like to know which one of these involves more mathematics. Always been asking myself that question.
I always thought it was Civil engineering, but I'd like to know if I'm right, please explain me how they differ, in other ways other than mathematics. The articles I've read before haven't satisfied me enough.

My second question is: Moment of intertia seems to be in units of distance ^4. This being the case, it doesnt look like I can take a metric program and enter English units and expect it to work.

I have a program that works in mm and Newtons.

What is your area of focus (I'm mostly looking for Civil, construction, mechanical, etc. But I'd love to hear from anyone!)

And what skills and interests did you have in your pre professional life that lead you to choose this area of study/ employment? I'm debating possible career paths and was just wondering what you all were interested in before you became what you are, to see if we have similar interests.

Thanks in advance!

I'm told the Soviet Union used hydroproxide torpedos, or they used the hydroproxide like a fuel soucre with its chemical reaction. Well I'm interested in learning more about(everything about) the engine systems they used, or how they had it set up, i wanna know any-and everything there is to know about it, I'd like to know the ratios they used, I'm told it was 8oz. of water mixed with 1 drop of proxide to make the desired chemical reaction. please any and every single bit of info history, specs(really), and anything thanks abunch!
I'm not using it to make torpedos, REALLY. figured i'd clear that up.

I need to amplify the output getting from a microphone which is around 5mV (millivolts)

Its enough for me to amplify it to about 2 or 3V

But i need some IC or even transistor amplifying circuit that will first amplify the very small output of mic to a reasonable one so that I can amplify that voltage by using few common IC's or transistors.
But plss help me by giving an IC which can accept such small voltage levels and amplify them...

Thanks in advance...would be of great help if you answer without delay...
once again thank you.

Hi there,

I'm trying to learn about electronics, mainly for soldering purposes and I can't seem to understand the resistors colour code system, on this webpage here http://www.doctronics.co.uk/resistor.htm it states that this is the numbering system,

Number Colour
0 black
1 brown
2 red
3 orange
4 yellow
5 green
6 blue
7 violet
8 grey
9 white

you supposedly work out resistors like this, let's say you have a resistor with brown, black and red colour bands it would go, 1 for brown, 0 for black, and then add two noughts for the red (it's a multiplier), so you'd be left with 1000...correct? ..so then you take off the noughts again, and you'd have a 10K resistor, however...in one of my soldering kits it has a brown, black and red resistor yet it's referred to as a 1K resistor, instead of 10K like some different resistors in my book, does that mean that the manual is wrong? or the 0 isn't counted as a number? I can't seem to understand
