I have measured VOC(Volatile organic compounds) emissions in ppm and this value has to be converted in terms of kg/hr for the calculations of the number of air changes per hour.

The emssions where calculated for 1 hour with a on-line VOC emissions analyser so I really am not sure about the volume of sample

Not directly.
PPM does not consider time.
If you can measure a volume over a period of time being emitted at a measured rate, then a calculation in Kg/Hr is possible.
Example: since you know the emission in PPM, if you can measure the flow rate in liters per minute, and know the molecular weight of the compound, the Kg/Hr can be calculated.

ppm is a measure of concentration
kg/hr a measure of mass flow per unit time
to convert you need to know the gas volume applied to the concentration.

But in any case never, never never use K as an abbreviation for kilo. K is kelvin, a measure of temperature and kilogram is always kg.

You need to know the time frame for your measurements and the total volume of the samples taken. This will give you the way the emissions change in weight per hour.

ppm is concentration honey and kg/hr is flow
