The speed of the generator should be the same when it is idle and when some unit is plugged in. Even then the sound changes deeper.

my shop has just bought a new router and we have been cutting aluminum sheets. can the dust collector hole both the saw dust and aluminum chips or will it start a fire?

I'll probably be pitting a humanoid (stands erect, two arms, a headsection) sort of robot against my friends in some sort of small battle. I'm pretty good with electronics and the arc welder, so construction isn't so much an issue, but parts and programming would be. It'll have to be remote control, and I've never built a remote for anything, especially not something with lots of options (arms, legs, weapons, etc). Any help is much appreciated.

I need to provide power for 5 minutes and then turn it off for 30 minutes and then again 5 minutes ON, 30 minutes OFF, for 2-3 days. Power is provided from the car battery 12VDC, less than 10 amps.
