Absolutely, YES, you can indeed defy gravity. Here is how you do it. Step up onto a chair, stick your thumbs in your ears , wiggle your fingers and shout, "Naya Naya Naya, Gravity" as you jump off. You will have been truly defiant of gravity, but gravity does not really care and you willl not have hurt yourself in the process unless it is a really, really tall chair or you land on some marbles.
Actually , to defy gravity is common show business expression, not a good scientific one.

You can never completely escape gravity. Gravity is the force that two objects of mass exert on each other. Even if you are a zillion miles away from the tiniest object you wil exhert force on it and it on you. Astronauts appear weightless because of their orbital path. They fall in a circular path around the earth at an accelaration equal to 1G therefore "appear" weightless. The same can occur here on earth if you accelerate against the force of gravity 1G

I defy gravity all the time. Gravity wants to pull me down and I push back.

And even when I die my remains will keep up the fight!
Of course they will have a bit of help from the Earth.

It's hard but possible...
Don't ask me how I don't know physics... Yet...

O and it has been done with frogs and plants before. Zero gravity machine.
Also you your self can deify gravity, try jumping.
Or a rocket.

yes, go to outerspace (far enough from any large object that gravity is marginal) and then laugh in gravity's face

(however your muscles will quickly break down, as they have no resistance to continue to build...so you will never be able to walk on earth again)
