my friend was talking about this big thing on aliens and it was presented by the discovery channel or TLC or the history channel or something. it was saying that astronauts in outer space got followed by something and said that a few people saw a huge spaceship go in and out of the ocean and stuff like that.

does anybody know what this show was called?

I was watching this show on Discovery channel, and well it said that if an asteroid or comet or something from space hit us, it could wipe out nearly all life on Earth again. So, the scientists there were arguing about what kind of defense would be appropiate to save the world. They were all prototypes and none of them have tested, so my question is what type of defense do we currently have? Do we even have any?

While we are living our lives, going to work, sleeping etc do any of you think about the world as it really is? Just another planet floating in space. It's hard sometimes to imagine that we are all actually surrounded in stars and a huge Galaxy.

Do you think we are the ONLY planet out of all the other undiscovered planets to have life and existance or do you think it's possible there COULD be another life inhabited planet somewhere out there?

After all, we know from basic relativity theory that nothing can reach the speed of light, save the fundamental forces of the universe. Are we talking really really close to light speed? Ninety-nine percent-ish? Or more like fifty or ten percent? Thanks, just thought I'd throw this one out there.
