The nearest alien life is a microbe that inhabits a small rocky world orbiting Alpha Centaurus B. The nearest advanced alien civilization is the J'kop, a race that appears to have characteristics of reptiles and insects. They are on the planet they call Zztetxes which orbits a G6 yellow dwarf star approximately 8,000 light years away. They have yet to develop space flight. The nearest alien planet that actually is more advanced than us and has star ships traveling between stars is Doognart in the Plaktall star system. It is located in the Andromeda galaxy some two million light years away. It will take another one million six hundred thousand years for their first radio transmissions to reach us.

Actually.. about a month ago I read an article and scientist found another planet that has the same atmosphere as the earth. Which they said definitely suggests that life is on that planet. Not sure if they are humans like us or if they are "aliens". But I bet soon enough they will go and explore the planet and we will know.

Highly probable, but this is just my opinion since we don't know what the chances are that all the factors needed for life exist. Or, for that matter, what those factors are.
But considering that there are somewhere on the order of 10^24 stars in the universe, if life is only possible on planets of 1 in a billion, that leaves a billion possible sites.

There are 100 billion suns in the Milky Way galaxy and there are 100 billion other galaxies. I think it safe to assume that there are many other planets where life has evolved to consciousness.

yes of course there are! how arrogant would it be to think that we are the ONLY life forms out there. our sun is a white dwarf, you couldn't even see it from space, all the other stars out there are bigger and more than we could ever know... to think that the "accident" of LIFE only happened here is ridiculous.... the odds on that are minuscule!!!
