Alright, scientists belive in Occum's Razor, which states that for a given situation, the simplest answer tends to be correct.

Now take the beginning of our universe, lets keep it simple, and go with the two most common ideas. The big bang theory, and creationism.

The Big Bang Theory: For whatever reason, space began expanding, time was created, all matter that ever existed and ever will exist was created in one second, we don't know how, but it did.

Creation: A higher being created the universe, and everything in it, using powers unkown to man.

Which of these is simpler? I just thought of this while reading a god v. science question on the second page. Does Occum's Razor 'prove' God?

Most Scientists have concluded that the earth formed over millions of years ago by Evolution because evolution is measurable whereas Creationism is not testable.

Phillip Gosse, a Geologist in the 1850's proposed that God had created everything with an appearance of great age. The actual age of the earth might be eight or ten thousand years, but the "ideal" age(the age which God simulated at creation) could be millions of years.

Creationist believe that when God created Adam and Eve he created them with the "Appearance of great age" because they would not have been able to sustain themselves had they been created as infants. Therefore it is logical that God and the Genesis account is accurate and reasonably consistent with faith in God's Power to actually create the world and universe intelligently. The appearance of great age given the creation of man would be consistent with a "great age" for the rest of God's creation. Therefore impacting Evolutionary Science! Genesis 1:1.

I know it sounds funny, but I read in some articles two years ago of a certain scientific project: a elevator, if we can call it that way, that will take astronauts to space. No rockets, I think. But I still find it hard to believe it. It sounds so science fiction, like out of "Star Trek" tv show. "Bean me up Scotty"? Will it become reality? Or scientists have been drinking too much whiskey? What do you think?

Crazy question. Fun to think about, however.

If there was a way to speed up the light?

One more thought...

As far as physical time travel, do you think it is physically possible, or just theoretically?

If you were to travel a great distance through space to a certain point, two times faster than the speed of light, and when you got to that point, you instantly returned to earth, you would be in the future, correct?

Time would not effect you during travel?

Would you age just like you would have on earth?

Might be to much for answers, but I was bored and figured it would be interesting to see what some other people felt.
