You know how in some work of fiction, especially in fantasy and science fiction, we see worlds that have more then one moon?
Well, scientifically speaking, what would the effects of multiple moons be on a planet?
Would the tides just rise higher, or whatever? Would night just be brighter? Or would there be other effects?

Yes, Don"Barny Fife" Knotts went to space first in THE RELUCTANT ASTRONAUT, then nearly a decade later, Sherriff Andy Taylor, a.k.a. ANDY GRIFFITH went to space to collect junk on the 1979 TV series SALVAGE!

So, both Andy Taylor and Barney Fife have gone into space...so do you think that ANDY GRIFFITH needs to return to space in a Space Shuttle to complete the cycle?

Right, now I have your attention:

It occurs to me that the 27th is the date of the lunar eclipse. What's the money that, the day after, we're flooded with "I told you so" from those people who read the false email, and insist that it's Mars thay saw because it's RED?

Prepare to be annoyed.

I would think that a search for meaning (ie. how human consciousness relates to the Universe as a whole) and ideas relating to a unified theory would apply to all and thus negating political, cultural, economic, and gender differences. When females do appear in the sciences, they are examples of extremely intelligent, highly motivated, and intensely focused individuals (ie. exceptional acheivers of scientific endeavor) while it appears that any mediocre male can get a backstage pass to the cosmic theatre. Is this gender bias ingrained at a young age? I don't remember an astronaut Barbie ever been issued. Perhaps it is taboo or shameful for a young woman to have interests in the very big or very small. Energy in all of its tranformations and manifestations should apply to man and woman alike.
