dont you think its weird when you lye down and look at the sky. You stare. All you see is sky or stars (if its night). Where does it end. It HAS to end somewhere... eventually it has too. It cant keep going, what do you think is at the end? But then whats behind that? ITS SO MIND BOGGLING!!! Does anyone else feel disorientated when you think about this kinda stuff?

If the appollo spacecrafts were, in places, just the thickness of foil, then howcome the vacuum of space didn't pull them apart?

My Geology 102 textbook makes some basic statements about the formation of the universe and the solar system. One of these statements is that the universe is constantly expanding. My question is, expanding into what? Expanding relative to what? Another statement is that the universe started from a "big bang." I have heard of this theory before but have never understood it. What caused the "big bang?"

What exactly exploded
And how did it get there, or was there nothing there before it

If nothing was there, did nothing explode
and if nothing exploded why was there such a big bang

Isn't it kind of weird that we know more about space which is millions of miles away, than the ocean floor?

I have thought about this for years and no one has been able to give me an awsner. All this talk about evolution and creationism. I just want to know how all this stuff just appeared. I know how the universe was fromed by the big bang. But where did that stuff come from? For creationists who say god created it then where did god come from?

Here are some example awsners
MOM : God just is there should be no questioning it. We were not meant to understand.

Nope sorry mom doesnt cut it

Biology professor: Well were not quite sure yet but we will soon figure it out.

Nope doesnt cut it

Many other people: Just dont worry about it or think about it. Who cares.

Nope sorry I have to.

Anyone else have a better awnser to help relive me of my pain.

So scientists say that 65 million years ago, a giant asteroid 10 kilometers across struck just off the coast of the Yucatan Peninsula.

Have we found pieces of this theoretical giant asteroid, or would have been obliterated on impact?

With such a force of impact, would it have thrown the Earth into our current orbit and maybe alter the tilt of the Earth? If so what kind of orbit did the Earth previously have, and would it have had a different climate?

Even if we find life somewhere else, we couldnt go there in our lifetime. Wouldnt all that money be better spent on helping all the more serious issues on our own planet. Imagine what $400 billion that we recently spent on a space exploration to mars would have done for the poor of our country or other important issues that affect lives of suffering people on this planet!

Space scientist like Sunitha Willaims and others when we saw in the TV they are floating inside the aircraft. As my knowledge, We can float only in the vacuum where we have no body weight . But, if there is a vacuum. how could they breath?

I know the answer seems obvious, but it seems like when you see the moon in the sky its always the same sky with the craters in the same formation. Why is it that we never see the other side? I really am curious so don't blast my question please.

This email is circulating around the internet. Is it true or just won of the many hoaxes we all get in emails?

Two moons on August 27, 2007

*27th Aug the Whole World is waiting for.............*

Planet Mars will be the brightest in the night sky
starting August.

It will look as large as the full moon to the naked
eye. This will cultminate on Aug. 27 when Mars comes
within 34.65M miles of earth. Be sure to watch the sky
on Aug. 27 12:30 am . It will look like the earth has
2 moons. The next time Mars may come this close is in
2287.

Share this with your friends as NO ONE ALIVE TODAY
will ever see it again.

My boyfriend and I were riding down the road last night to see some friends and I noticed that the moon was very large and a very deep orange color. I commented on how pretty it looked and he said it was a lunar eclipse. I laughed and explained how certain gases in the atmosphere make it appear that color when it's that low on the horizon and appears that large (I love astronomy). He stood by his argument saying it was a lunar eclipse. I told him eclipses only happen twice a year and it's not quite time yet for another one.

Can you help clear this up for me?

Nothing makes me more angry than some lazy kid who refuses to learn what is being taught to them in their classes and then they expect us to give them all the answers so they can go back and ace their class even though they are still clueless and ignorant. This is so wrong! How do you expect to get anywhere in life if you refuse to learn and use your brain? Those of us who are giving them the answers are NOT helping these kids. We are hurting them by not allowing them to learn anything and we need to stop.
