I get so lost in Doctor Who, that I forget that it isn't real. Could you explain all the science, pysics and astronomy behind it please?

The word immediately after science in Dr Who is fiction.

Well, as it turns out, the idea that the Tardis can be bigger inside than outside IS scientifically possible, given a capability to move between dimensions. But I doubt that theory was available back in the 1960's when the idea was first used by the original series. At least, they had to look pretty deeply into the science and mathematics to think of it.

There is not much science that I can see. It is pretty much all fantasy.
