Usually from the definition of a black hole The size of an M&m is already a large size black hole. More likely a black hole would be the size of a neutron,if it is to have any significant mass density.

We certainly can't create anything like that with our current technology. A black hole that size can only be created under the most extreme pressures and energies (think Big Bang).

The closest we can come right now (theoretically) is to create a microscopic black hole in a modern particle accelerator. Even if we create one of these, it would instantly vanish due to Hawking radiation.

To make the Earth become a black hole, you would have to compress it down until it was about the size of a marble. So, I guess it would cost as much as the Earth and whatever it would cost to squeeze it down that much. :P

However, Brookhaven National Lab was making micro-black holes for a while in their accelerator - they were miniscule and evaporated almost instantly. So no, you can't make one for a science project.

To have a black hole in that size, you have to collapse an object in the mass of the Earth

I don't think it could be done . Normally a black hole may have a gravity well that can be 100 light years across.

A nuclear bomb the size of the moon might do the trick. Of course it would also blow up the entire solar system when it goes.
