Assuming dark to be the co-efficient of rock music and Guinness, the speed of dark is about 2.5mph tops, on a good day... if the bell for last orders has already gone.

Now, this speed is relative to time and space and can be multiplied logarithmically to the speed of light (Diet Coke and Coldplay). So, at the speed of light, the speed of dark is about the same as the speed as an average sized granny in the supermarket when she's spotted an empty till.

I hope this clears things up and may I say what a smashing question

I would suppose that absolute darkness has no speed. Darkness retreating against light could be said to have a speed equal to light, I suppose. But I'm no physicists

Well, evil scientists, being the closed-minded b'tards that they are, claim that darkness does not exist, it is merely the absence of light. Much like 'cold' is merely the absence of heat.

We all know, however, that dark travels faster than light, because wherever light goes, the dark has already arrived.

the color of the speed of dark would be black and it would travel at the same speed as light would 186,000 miles per sec.

Stop wasting our time with meaningless questions. There's no such thing as "the speed of dark"!

Slower than the speed of gray

Way faster...
'Cause light is traveling toward the dark...
Which is already ahead of the light...
And light can never catch up...(kinda depressing, huh?)

Darkness doesn't move as such is the light that moves through it
