I live close to London, and light levels keep me from being able to watch the stars. It is a hobby I've loved since I was 10, so I'm fairly sad I can't do it any longer. I have lots of light filters for my scope, but they don't seem to be able to cope with these levels. I know I could travel miles to some remote area, but short of that, is there anything I could do? Thanks!

I know about:
space.com
permanent.com
nasa.gov
spacefellowship (I am a member there too)

But was wondering if there were any other worthwhile ones out there that people with an interest in such things like to read.

I am working on an important project and I really need to know the launch sequence to Mars from Earth. Everytime I Google it, random topics pop up.

Apparently it's simply day. But think about what you see: a sunset, darkness, a sunrise; think about what some animals and plants do: they prepare themselves for the night before the total solar eclipse. In the end, if you saw one, think about how you felt.

It is possible have vestigial organ with creationist theory also:-

I want explain this with example, MS Word means Microsoft software & also notepad again Microsoft software

I make first document in MS word WITHOUT any formatting & second document in MS word with very good formatting.

I do this because I think MS Word is best option for me then notepad where much formatting is not allowed. Space in my hard disk is not problem for me

now in first case if you say that there is much vestigial thing & this is only necessary in second case so first document has evolved from second document. This is not correct because I am creator. So vestigial organ do not necessarily confirm evolution with out creator (intelligent desigin) it only says what tools creator (tools may be improved with time) used while making species. This same principle is seen even in electronic gadgets of today.

what does magmetism do in the middle of the earth? what does magnetic pull or push do to the atmosphere? i heard that if we lived on mars, we'd be at risk of developing cancers because there is no magnetic field around mars that would protect us against radiation when the sun flared.

i'd like the most elaborate of answers, with examples and links that would show me drawings, for example, so that i can understand this.

also:

does gravity have anything to do with the protection of a planet from radiation? how so?

does magnetism inside of a planet have anything to do with gravity? how? why?

I haven't studied it much, but the theory of relativity doesn't make much sense to me. How can the speed of light be constant from any perspective? If a light beam goes the opposite way of another light beam, shouldn't one be moving twice the speed of light relative to the other? What about to a stationary object at the point of crossing?

Just think of us talking through telekenisis; living more longer; crossing other galaxies since Earth is over populated; flying cars; space racing!; aliens & humans interbreed cause we finally found another species; then maybe another human civilization on another galaxies; uderwater cities!!!

Wonder how many years till we can build an intergalactic city-space ship. Like the one from Stargate Atlantis!!!!!

I want to go to year 4000. lol

i think they're out there, and i think if they're intelligent, that they would be made of tissue because there environment would have to be similiar to ours if they ... yeah.

a. will the 200 g mass be farther from the center than the 100 g mass
b. will the 100 g mass be farther away from the center than the 200 g mass
c. will both masses be the same distance from the center
d. would it depend upon the length of the meter stick to determine which mass was farther from the center
and how would you work this out to obtain the answer?
