Find the exact answers:

2cos^2 x - cosx = 0
0 <= x < 2(pi)

That first "x" is not connected to the exponent (it's just the cos variable). I don't know what to do! An explanation would be just lovely.

While I'm completely obsessed with Grey's Anatomy, and this is a very old topic on the show, are there any people out there who get very aggrivated with Cristina's contempt towards Finn for being a veterinarian? Why do some people have this negative attitude towards veterinary medicine? It is in itself a medical specialty, and veterinarians study more than one kind of anatomy. It's a medical profession dependent entirely on your skills because the patient cannot speak for themselves. While Cristina can be funny, she can also be ... frickin annoying as hell. Veterinary medicine is noble and extremely gruelling. Her attitude sucks. And for those out there who take it upon themselves to accomplish the difficult task of pointing out the obvious to the world: yes, I do realize that Grey's Anatomy is just a TV show. I'm just using it as an example.

So, if energy can not be destroyed or created, then what is happening to the matter/energy consumed by black holes?

If black holes destroy energy/matter, then is it created/replenished by something else just as weird as they are...to keep it a constant amount, spewing it back into our universe? Is there such thing as a net amount of matter/energy? And would this amount of energy stay constant as the universe expands or contracts? Not sure of the merit of this last question, but is time or gravity being converted into energy or matter, or something else?...or is that where dark matter comes in?...where it perhaps get converted into the matter we all know and love?
