laws are made up by rules and those rules are made up by government leaders, for instance " one is innocent until proven guilty"
any person who commits an act which consitutes a crime under international law is responsible therefore and liable to punishment. Its moral & ethics you could say. We have acts and codes to go by in all states, country ect,,,however the law is the law,, just look back to the Nixon days! how would you say that the late Nixon, would fall under the laws of principles? Also many many yrs ago , we had the lords who were the kings that made up the laws , from there we moved into centuries of the commissior's who over saw and picked the law's. We could go back to the Roman days when it was all about Christians who made the laws, but ,all and all, no one was and is above the law, thats our constitutional right, there also was a time when we had the crusaders , the tribes who made up their own cities, and depended on each other to take care of one another to support the leader of politics and in order to do so they had to set up their tribes to inport and export in order to survive, so not for taxation, we have a code of ethics like as mentioned above that is very important to our laws and principles for the reason of crimes against humanity,,, my question is do you feel its working in our century today? , So, to answer your question as I understand it and I may be way off here ,, but the principles were a set of quidelines in which was adopted by and affirmed by the general assembly, and was adopted by the commssion. So here we are today and all the laws and principles are codes and ethic, rules , and punishment, that was dated way back in order to have the laws and the principles fall insync with one another this is where the commission comes in ,,so we could have the codes and ethics, rules to go by so to prevent us for going to war , Christian war, and wars where as a devided sovernity. We are and would be created equal, and to also give us our consititual rights and under one law. however this has clearly not been the case,, But we must know how also to conduct ourselfs in front of our lords no matter what, in order of respect to one another and to also avoid punishment,,and to always remember no one is above the law. WE ARE THE PEOPLE, who make up these laws and pick the LORDS , to see them through, if not they shall also be punished. as in the old ways of the English laws if we did not we would find ourselfs on a chopping block , or hanged , but again the principles were recognized by the Tribunal , and the laws were recognized by Judgement, the laws relating to War Crimes,, in which I beleive were in Now!

Good question. Actually Newton had LAWS, while Archimedes had one principle. This may be the explanation, but I am not sure. Another possibility is that Laws involve mathematical proofs while principles don't.
