use mathematical induction to prove that 21 divides 4^n+1 + 5^2n-1 for n=1,2,3......
Use headings base case and induction?

So letting p(n) be the proposition that 21 divides 4^n+1 + 5^2n-1
I can prove the base case is true, that is p(1), where n=1 is true since 4^2 + 5^1= 21 and clearly 21 divides 21
I am struggling with induction, that is, assuming p(k) is true, where p(k)=4^k+1 + 5^2k-1, and proving from that p(k+1)???

Lets say Humans all of a sudden left Earth and now we live in other Star Systems. What do you think the next intelligent species would be? I would say Octopus, Squid, or even an Ape.

They probably won't read this, but here goes:

I always put forward the Noah story to show the futility of believing the Bible explicitly. We know now that there are 10s of thousands of animal species that would need to be saved in the event of a flood that supposedly turned over the whole Earth’s crust (creationists argument for geological layers and scientists’ mis-aging of fossils).

How would Noah get all over the world to pick up a sloth and jaguar in South America, a kangaroo in Australia, a giant tortoise in the Galapogas, etc, etc, etc?

How would he get tens of thousands of species pairs into the ark?

The last time I put this to a creationist, he came back and said that all those animals were living in Noah’s vicinity at the time.

That rests the case doesn’t it?

The field just outside a 4.00 cm radius metal ball is 3.25 102 N/C and points toward the ball. What charge resides on the ball?

My work:

r=4.00 cm --> 4.0x10^-2
E=3.25x10^2

Q=(3.25x10^2)[(4.0x10^-2)^2] divided by (9x10^9)
Q=(325)(.0016)/9x10^9
Q=5.7e-11

I submitted and I am wrong? Hmmm....
