They certainly will not breed. There is a fertility barrier between two different species.

I would say probably not; they are two different animals from two different genus.

Look at the donkey and the horse. They are from the same genus, and when cross bred, they produce the mule. However, the mule is a hybrid and cannot produce offspring. Because the horse and the donkey are from the same genus, they are barely able to cross breed, but the tiger salamander (genus Ambystoma) and the fire salamander (genus Salamandra) will probably not be able to cross breed.

Also, they might not have the same number of chromosomes for reproduction to be successful.
