Please help with an ongoing argument between my husband and me.... We are both blondes with blue eyes (mine dark, his very light, even blonde eyelashes). My father has red hair and blue eyes, and my mother is a brunette with brown eyes. His father has light brown hair, and his mother is blonde with blue eyes. I think the chance is there for a redheaded child, (because of my dad and also several family members on my paternal side) however hubby insists that he also has to have a history of red hair in his family for it to happen (which there is none). For the first year of my life I was strawberry blonde (heavy on the strawberry), then it turned the color I have now. Is it possible to have a redhead or do I have to eat crow and tell him he's right - the only possibility for our child is blonde hair and blue eyes?

I am thinking that it is about 250,000. If that is the case then a beam of laser light which travels at 186,000 miles per second would take just over 2 seconds to get there and back to Earth. The reason I asked, is that i saw a documentary about the Apollo missions and on one of them they left a mirror or reflector which scientists still use to reflect laser beams back to Earth. They claimed that the moon's orbit is moving out away from Earth about 1-inch per year. I assume that means that if the moon is 4-billion years-old, then it has moved away from the Earth about four billion inches since it first formed. 4,000,000,000/12 = 333,333,333 feet or 333,333,333/5280 feet in a mile = 63,131 miles further from the Earth than when it was first formed. Anyone know the moon's present distance from Earth?

standard deviation,

variance,

confidence interval,

density function,

binomial distribution,

Also, if someone would like to teach me probability, it would be greatly appreciated.

(-1)^(n+1) ln x /n^2 tell if converge conditionally, converge absolutely or diverge

I have been trying to use all the rules an tests to see if ln n / n^2 is convergent or divergent and can't get it.
I think the limit of it =0 so nth term test doesn't work. The ratio test didn't work for me either. Can I use the p series test? or the nth root test?

If it does converge how do you know if it is conditonally or absolutely?

We've seen lots of "debunkers" call names. Any chump can do that. Don't get us wrong; orcs LOVE to call names and treat people like garbage. We also hate lazy slugs though, so shut your trap if you can't think with any more sophistication than your average troll!

If scientists manage 2 find cures or vacines for evrything, what would hapen 2 the population?
1) If all these cures were shared with developing countries 2. Would it not jus cause more sufering? Contraception is frequently not acepted. Or jus condoms, hardly reliable alone.
2) Isn't disease like cancer etc a natural way of population control?
3) Would developed countries go into meltdown 2, could it harm humanity? Enforced infertility/dictatorship everywhere!
4) When humans mes with biology, does it not just cause more problems CJD, bird flu etc?

I'm personaly against embryo & animal testing, partly bcos we r animals 2. But we know others feel pain/can die.
It will seem 2 mean yet more abortions for the ignorant. Alowing them 2 murder humans, by fact made the second sperm enters an egg & should b granted human rights as such. Life not poluted by society always wants 2 live. Those lucky enuf 2 b born, should b thankful they got to b. Ur self importance is jus a state of mind

I need to clear up some confusion I have about 6-sigma.
The teachings say that 6-sigma means that in a million opportunities there will only be 3.4 mistakes or "missed opportunties" IF you have achieved 99.997% Perfection.
Or something to that nature.
The concept is based on six standard deviations from the population mean. I'm assuming it means that the sample group's mean is six devations from that population mean.
But what I'm confused about is ....."WHAT POPULATION?"

IF a company is building electric motors. They want to acheive an error of 3.4 per million. I'm assuming that 3.4 is the number of individuals represented by the area under the bell-curve out in the extreme fringes of the bell-curve (out in the six sigmas away from the mean).

OKay, I can comprehend population curves (bell-curves ) in terms of animals, plants, human behavior and other human traits, but HOW DOES THE BELL CURVE APPLY TO MANUFACTURING?
6-Sigma was created by Motorolla, explain please!!

Which of the following reactions will favour the formation of products, when the temperature is raised by 10ºC and reaction is carried out in a closed container?

(Reaction 1) N2 + 3H2 <-----> 2NH3 + 92 KJ
(Reaction 2) 2Cl2 + 2H2O <-----> 2HCl + O2 - 113KJ

<-----> stands for reversible reaction. 'KJ' means kilojoules.

I think it is the reaction of chlorine with water, but I must explain why.
