Use the order of operations (PEMDAS - Parenthesis, Exponents, Multiplication, Division, Addition, Subtraction)
You can remember it with this sentance: "Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally."

There are no parentheses or exponents in your problem, so we start with mutliplication & division (left to right)...
100 / 10 x 5 + 10 = 10 * 5 + 10 = 50 + 10
now addition & subtraction...
60
you're done.

The general rule of thumb is parentheses first, then division/Multiplication , and finally, addition and subtraction. It helps when you put parentheses in the problem:
(100/10) x 5 +10
You can do it again after you solve what is in the parentheses, because 100/10 =10.
Now you have 10x5 + 10 which can be written as:
(10 x 5 ) + 10 =
Remember, Multiplication first since 10 times 5 equals 50, you have:
50+10 = 60.

Do you mean:-
(100 / 10) x 5 + 10?
10 x 5 + 10
50 + 10
60
OR
100 / (10 x 5) + 10?
100 / 50 + 10
2 + 10
12

You choose!

For that problem you want to use PEMDAS (parentheses, exponents, multiplication, division, addition, subtraction)

so you would do 10 x 5 first = 50

100/50+10

Then you would do 100/50 = 2

2+10

2+10= 12

If you solve that without PEMDAS (ORDER OF OPERATIONS) you'll get 60.

60 it is.
If we follow the order of operations (PEMDAS) we look first for parentheses. . .there are none. Then look for exponents. .there are none. So, now we look for Multiplication and Division. We have both! 1Remember: Multiplication and Division are of equal importance, so we do those operations as they show up from left to right.

SO...
the first operation on the left is division. 100/10=10
so now we have
10x5+10...We still have a multiplication, so we do it before the addition.
10x5=50

OK, now, all we have is 50+10. . that is 60. . The end.

100/10x5+10=
100/50+10=
because 100/50= 2/1 we go to the next step
2+10=
12
there that is answered lol
