Hi. The center of our galaxy has either a black hole or something even weirder. They can see the effects of stars being pulled apart and evaporated. I would call this a 'known' black hole. It's called Sgr A* (Sagittarius A star). http://www.answers.com/topic/sagittarius-a-1?ff=1
