Write sin(sin^-1 (x) + cos^-1 (y)) as an algebraic expression containing x and y (that is, without any trig functions).

HINT GIVEN IN BOOK:

Think of inverse trig functions.

Also: What is the easiest way or method for graphing inverse trig functions?

Prove the two identities below.

I found these two to be very hard.

(1) sin(x)(sin3(x) + sin5(x)) = cos(x)(cos(cos3(x) - cos5(x))

(2) (cos(a) + cos(b))/(cos(a) - cos(b)) = - (cot(a + b)/2)(cot(a - b)/2)

(cos(x) - cos5(x))/(sin(x) + sin5(x)) = tan2(x)

How do I handle trig identities that use numbers greater than 2? The above question has a 5? See my point?

Strange question, but I have a small microwave craft kiln which is designed for a 600w microwave.
The instructions say, if using a higher power microwave to turn it down. I need to know which setting to put it on - I have in the following order :
low
defrost
medium low
medium
medium high
high

Does anyone know which setting would be nearest to 600w on an 800w microwave?

I can't contact the company as they are in Japan and I got the kiln second hand. Thanks in advance :-)

So, I’m a spiritual person but I’m not particularly religious. I believe in evolution and science and all of that. So, the big bang theory implies that ‘the universe began from a singular state of infinite density’. Where did this singular state guy come from in the first place?

Just wondering if theres like an explanation for it or anything.
