9(sex^2 (x)) - 5(tan^2 (x)) = 5 + 4(sec^2 (x))

ALSO:

What does it mean when a number (in the case above we have 9, -5 and 4) is written IN FRONT of trig identities?

Establish the identity

csc^4 (x) - csc^2 (x) = cot^4 (x) + cot^2 (x)

ALSO:

I need someone to carefully and easily explain how to break down trig identities with powers greater than 2.

For example, above we csc^4 (x) and cot^4 (x). How do I play with trig identities whose power is greater than 2?

I got into IIT-Roorkee for Mechanical Engineering.

BITS, Pilani has copied the trend of IIT entrance exams.
Earlier, there was no BITSAT. Now, there is. I don't know, what is it with my dad. He's BITS Alumni. He's not happy.

I hate it. I say BITS sucks a big time and IIT rocks. BITS is there because it's been there since 1929, otherwise it's nothing, I say.....nothing.

ok, i just know that we can vote ourself answer as best answers (looking at others questions and answer).

i sincerely swear that i know my answer is the best to my true knowledge that is why i choose it just 9 or 10 minutes ago. After choosing, i didn't see any points added (i means the 10 points, not the 1 point).
1. Why ? and

2. Why people don't pick best asnwer ? I am sick on questioning the same question again, again and again.

3. I go to undecided questions and trying to pick. I saw some asker even say they will give 10 points for best answer, but why they didn't keep their promise ? I saw there is answer to the question. Is there that tough to just choose one ?

Thanks you for listening to my grumble.

i just curious where is my 10points?

( : I am going to post this question in a wrong category, Maths and Science as I saw a lot of undecided question in this category. Don't report abuse !! Thanks you !!

Alice has 357 apples in her 5 baskets. She was able to carry 3 of them. The first basket contains 80 apples. 64 for the second and third. The 4th basket contains 1/2 of the sum of apples the first three baskets.

How many apples does the last basket contain?
How many apples will each basket have if divided equally?
Alice ate the remainder of the apples. How many apples did she ate?
How many apples does the 4th basket have (not yet divided)?

This is similar to a question I posted previously; but hopefully this version is stated more clearly. I know the answer, but the best response deserves 10 pts. anyway.

Two spaceships pass each other at a relative speed of 1/2 c. At the moment they cross paths, they each synchronize their on-board clocks to read "12:00 PM."

The captain of Ship "A" knows that when his own clock reads "1:00", it's only 12:52 on Ship "B", due to time dilation. He can prove this by sending a signal to Ship "B" asking what time it is (and then accounting for the time it takes for the signal to return).

But the captain of Ship "B" knows that when his own clock reads "12:52", it's only 12:45 on Ship "A", due to time dilation. He can prove this by sending a signal of his own.

So here's the question: When it's 12:52 on Ship "B", what time is it on Ship "A"?

"Block A, with a mass of 35 kg, rests on a 65o incline. The coefficient of kinetic friction is μk = 0.3. An attached rope is parallel to the incline and passes over a massless, frictionless pulley at the top of the plane. Block B, with a mass of 9 kg, is attached to the dangling end of the rope. What is the acceleration of block B? Define down as the -y direction."
My solution was -2.0 m/s^2 but I got wrong. please help me!

why is it theres such an enormous gap between monkies and humans, and an even bigger gap between monkies and whatever they evolved from? these gaps would have billions and billions of fossils to show they even existed, but we seem a bit hard pressed to find them. but we sure are eager to beleive they're there...somewhere we super-evolved humans just havent found yet? someone please tell me where these fossils are so i dont have to believe in god. anyone?
