At this time no. The spinal cord, once severed is unrepairable, so no way of reconnecting the newly installed brain to rest of body. In the future, who knows?

At this time. No. But only in humans! Brain transplants have been conducted and have been successful is rodents. Humans on the other hand are extremely intelligent even the stupid ones! We are highly adapted, its the reason why were the number one animal on the planet. This would have to be carried out on apes before us as they are the closest living relatives that we can perform such surgeries and monitor recovery and prognosis.

But there again there is that ethical dilemma. Having somebody elses heart and lungs is one thing but there brain is another. You will have their thoughts, their emotions, you will literally be a completly different person. This is why i believe that even if we do succeed in performing such an operation on apes, it will never EVER be done on humans because if this dilemma.

One day it will be, and you can be sure that someone, somewhere has been and currently is working on it. What has been done? In secret? Kind of leaves you a bit creeped out with the thought of a monkey brain is a jar, alive...Keeping a brain alive, learning how to manipulate and reconnect major nerve tissue (ahhhhh!, Stem Cells!) How close is it? With all the spinal cord injuries in the world, with all the people on breathing machines? Can only hope.

Take one brain and put in into another skull? Sure, why not? The receipt would be dead both beforehand and afterwards though.

NO!!! A body trasplant may be possible, but since the conscious mind is housed in the brain, there would be no such thing.

If it were possible, every nerve ending in the body would have to be replaced. The spinal cord would have to be replaced.
