Also this word problem is confusing:

A garden area is 30ft long and 20 ft wide. A path of uniform width is set around the edge. IF the remaining garden area is 400ft^2, what is the width of the path?

My teacher keeps using the word abundance in a lot of her questions but it doesn't seem to make sense. For example "Does the percentage by which the abundance of parent atoms changes during each trial approximately correspond to predicted by theory??" This question makes no sense to me!
