Definitely!

This is subject to intensive research as scientists are puzzled by a strange phenomenon of increase in point density apparently caused by annual periodic anomalies in solar activities. Certain eggs are susceptible to it and shift their center of gravity extremely low causing the egg to stand on its end.

Sorry but this is the best bullshit answer I could come up with to this myth.
If I’m in error please let me know. I’ll be fascinating to learn of my error.

I loved this question. Good sense of humor!

Yes, it is true.

An egg will stand on its end on the spring equinox.
And also on the autumn equinox.
And also on just about any day if you have a steady hand.

No.

The only way to get an egg to stand on end is to boil it and spin it (a raw egg won't stand on end even if you spin it).

no it's an olds wives tale. the myth is that you can balance an egg on the equinoxes but there is absolutely no truth to it at all, you can balance an egg anytime with practice and determination.
