Mostly it turns into heat, or it is reflected back out.
That's how you see anything, it is he reflection of light off of whatever you're looking at.

This is going to be confusing and for that, I am sorry.
Ok, in order for you to see, you need light. Thus, the reason you can not see in the dark.
When you see, light is actually bouncing off something and reflecting into your eyes. Like a mirror. Now, atoms are different and depending on the molecular structure, the light will bend in a different matter. Now light rays are actually like ../``\../``\.. and depending on the frequency, light is bent into different colours. (the one with the highest frequency is ultraviolet, which moves too fast for the human eye to detect. However, it is absorbed by your skin, thus, you get sunburnt)
So, what that all was supposed to mean is that partly, we absorbe some of the light, like plants do in a v. diluted form of photosynthesis. The rest is reflected back.

some wavelengths are absobed and some are reflected other wise no one would see you. colour is a property of wavelength. if something appears blue to you, that's because the red wavelengths are being absorbed by the object. the energy that is absorbed can be turned into heat energy. think about the difference you feel when , on a sunny day you wear a black shirt and then try on a white one. which absorbs more light energy?

Light is a form of radiation; so it either gets reflected or absorbed into the material. Certain colors reflect certain colors of the light spectrum. For example, a leaf reflects green light, while all the other colors are absorbed.

when light hits any body it is absorbed by the body , however some part is reflected by it which imparts body its color
for example , in a leaf when light falls over it , it is absorbed by chlorophyll , but , green colour is reflected back which gives leaf its color
thats why leaf appears to be black in blue light as they absorb whole light falling on it and no light is reflected back

Some is converted into other forms of energy and is absorbed by you, and the rest is reflected off you. Otherwise you'd be invisible. How much of each depends on your colour.

it reflects off you. that is how you see everything, as light reflects of off everything. the darker the object the more light it absorbs
