I want to integrate a function: Int[ 1/(x-y)^2 dx dy ] I want to change x-y to a new variable z. Can I do this? And if so how do I change the variables I am integrating over? I guess dz = dx - dy, but this doesn't go back into the equation. Is this way possible or am going in the wrong direction? And if I am going in the wrong direction, how should I go about tackling this problem? My full integral is actually over at least 6 variables paired up like: Int[ 1/sqrt((x1-y1)^2+(x2-y2)^2+(x3-y3)^2) dx1 dx2 dx3 dy1 dy2 dy3] Any pointers greatfully received!

I am curious as to how current the public is on their math skills. These are some examples of Algebra Questions from an entrance exam for a junior college.

1. solve. - -114/16

2. 3/5 - 11/12

3. What is the square root of 12?

4. 24 / 3 squared / 8-5 - (-5)

5. x/4 -6 =1

6. 2x -5x=9

7. 1/2 (2x-6y +8)

8. 9n-3 (2n-1)=15

9. The sum of two numbers is fifteen. one less than three times the smaller is equal to the larger. Find the two numbers

10. Find the cost per ounce of a sunscreen made from 100 ox of a lotion that cost 2.50 per ounce and 50 oz of a lotion that cost 4.00 per ounce.

I will post answers to everyone who answers, so you can see how well you did! If you get everyone of these correct, you would be able to pass directly into college level math classes and not require Learning Support. Have Fun!

Make a rectangle ABCD where AB & CD are the longer sides (lenghts)of the rectangle ABCD.Connect the diagonal AC.Extend BC upto E & connect ED such that the triangle ABE is a right angled triangle.Connect ED.Here if CD is given in integer values then we will not get AE in integer values if ED is having integer values or if AE is having integer values then we will not get ED in integer values.
Can this be proved wrong?

I've recently had this nagging question bouncing around in my head. What is time? Is it an illusion? Or is it existent, like a boundary where events can flow?

In your opinion or based on your belief, how do you say the world began. Was it the big bang, or was it genesis.

Was it something else.

Actually the discussion is important because ,we are not sure enough that where from the universe came indeed. At that time in Big Bang singularty moment, universe had a temperature of 10000billion degree celcius and a density of 1000,000 billions tonns of water density & had a controversial physics and mathematics that can explain every thing that evry thing happened from that time 0.0001 second after the time zero up to present day. According to us the Bing bang model is acceptable after 10-32seconds of the Big bang singularity. What hapened before 10~32second? The next thing is that whether time was started from the Big bang moment or Time was flowing and Big bang like events happened only once? or many such Big bang like events happened in universe?
