Right now, the closest things to ME in space are a chair, a desk, and a computer. Or if I want to be really picky, my underwear, my socks, and a wristwatch. Earth and the things on it are part of space.

Depends what you mean by space! The "space" between myself and the person sitting next to me is full of matter. If space means absolutely nothing, is there such a thing as absolutely nothing?
