What causes certain photographs to make eyes look red? There must be something the film picks up that we don't see. For instance, when I took pictures of my kids, my oldest son's picture had red eye. My younger son, who wears glasses did not. I suspect the reflection of light on the glasses eliminated the red eye, but I would like to know why it occurs in the first place.
