we have to perform an egg drop project for physics in school right now. the requirements are NO balloons or parachutes of any kind, no stuffed animals, towels, or balls. it will be dropped from appx. 20-30 feet from the ground. it can't be bigger than 18" by 24" and no taller than 30" and can't weigh more than 7 lbs. we will only have one minute to insert the store boughten egg (provided by the professor). the contraption will be thrown or tossed however the professor would like to toss it. i have tried many things and would like some suggestions. please no funny comments or remarks, and please don't waste my time. thank you.

we were watching an advert which claimed that there were more bacteria on chopping boards than toilet seats but i thought it's more to do with the type of bacteria rather than the amount. We weren't sure if any can be transmitted through the smell of something, as surely if you can smell it, a particle containing the scent has managed to reach your nostrils.

Don't say crap about, "Where did it come from?" or, "How could it be so complex without God?" or, "Why are there still monkeys?" (Irrelevent to evolution, not a scientific argument, because we evolved from a common simian ancestor)

As far as I know the only real flaw is that we don't have the perfectly fossilized remains of every creature that ever lived, stacked in perfect order with neat labels on them.

Cite your sources and I won't accept religious ones.

On the path she is on, she comes up to a rope bridge with a sign saying that the rope bridge can hold a maximum weight of 130 pounds, and that if any more weight is placed on the bridge it will collapse.

The girl knows her weight is 100 pounds, so she walks across the bridge carrying both gold bars, and the bridge does not break. How is this possible?

Are there any links between metabolism and sleep? I heard a friend say that a person with low metabolism requires more sleep, and that it is harder to wake up for people with low metabolism than high metabolism. Is there any truth to this statement?
