it's a 5th grade ath prob but i can;t seem to figure it out. please help me!!!

you can only use four 8s and can use fractions and decimals.... as long as you get 24 as the answer... i need the answer fast!!!

Maybe it's a trick question. Could be 88-(8*8)=24

I think Broken Planet has it best with "88-8X8=24"

or if I were you I would say 88-8(squared)=24

squared is a little 2 at the top of the 8.

8 over 8 equals 1, so that problem above is incorrect I believe.

The thing is to work towards the fact that 4! = 24

(a) (8 / [(8+8) / 8]) ! = 24

(b) [(8x8)/(8+8)] ! = 24

Writing .8 recurring as .8...
(c) [(8/8) + sqrt (8/ .8...) ]! = 24

4 8's alone is 32., you need the answer to be 24
32-8=24
8+8+8-8=24

umm yeaaa 8+8+8-8 is 16 mister...but anyways..i actually tried to figure it out and then lost interest. But i hope you figure it out!!
