I think you meant "where". The answer is the whole earth was flooded, ask Noah. That is how we got all the layers of sedimenary rock that you see. The geologic column does not exsist anywhere in the world. Take a hand full of dirt and put it in a jar of water. Shake it up, it will settle into different layers in a matter or minutes. The layers will be sorted by matter density.
If your teachers tells your there is a "geologic column" they are either ignorant, or lying to keep their job. Evolution is a carefully protected, tax funded, religion of death.
