Yeah, i've been wondering about pi lately, and i was curious to see if anyone could help me answer some questions. Such as, where it comes from, what it is, how it came to be, and who thought of the idea. Thanks.

When immersed in hot water, like in a bath tub, do we sweat, since we are hot; but on the other hand there's already water around us... so do we sweat?

If, as you approach the speed of light, mass increases so that you would need an infinite amount of energy and never be able to reach that velocity . How is it that a photon ( a particle of light) which I believe does have mass, manage to screw up Einstein's equation and travel at 300,000 km/sec.?

i do not have to solve for constants.

2. (6x+5) / (x+2) ^4

and now i have to write the partial fraction decomp of the rational expression...

By squaring a rectangle, I mean ... "GIven a rectangle, construct a square with the same area of that rectangle"

I found the steps and proof on how to square a rectangle on this site: http://mathworld.wolfram.com/RectangleSquaring.html

However, I do not understand the how they got from the first to the second step of the proof. What makes the area of the rectangle equal to (a+b)(a-b)? I understand the (a+b) side, but what makes the other side (a-b)?

Answers appreciated. Thanks!
