You are dealing with units in different dimensions. You can have cubic millimetres in a cubic centimetre or millimetres in a centimetre but you can't have millimetres in a cubic centimetre.

A cubic centimetre has sides ten mm long so the volume of a cc is 10*10*10 cubic millimetres.

A CC is a "cubic centimeter" or a cube that is one centimeter in each dimension.

Use the formula for finding the volume of a cube.

Plug in the number of milimeters in a centimeter into the formula and viola!

If you mean Millilitre instead on Millimetre then they are actually the same.

There ar 10 cms to a metre, so there are 1000 cc to a litre.

A millilitre is 1000th of a litre
