The Big Bang spewed out matter at the beginning of the Universe but for how long did matter spew out or is matter still spewing out even to this day? And has matter been spewing out at a constant rate since the beginning of the Universe or have things been changing over time? And what does the current Universe look like? Is it shaped like a thick or thin shell? Or is it more like a solid sphere? And is the density of the Universe constant or varying? And if it does vary then how does it vary? And if the Universe is more like a shell then is it just empty space in the middle? And the Universe is expanding, yes? But will expansion go on for ever or will it slow down and stop or will it slow down, stop and start to collapse again? And beyond the frontier of expansion is there just empty space? Does space just go on forever beyond the frontier of expansion? What are the current theories about these and related matters?

Alas, my last question for a while. IS fire ALIVE? I mean, it grows, reproduces, eats, breathes, is it alive?? What defines something as "alive"?

I am in Grade 12 in Australia and I have a prac report due tomorrow ! I though I understood everything but then my friend saw this whole question from a different point of view and now I am confused. We had the solution : the * with number represents the charge of the ion (it is in equilibrium)
Fe *3+ (aq) + SCN* 1- (aq) ---> Fe(SCN)*2+
The colour of this is red. When enough water (H2O) is added to the solution to double the volume, the solution turns pale red. The question is: the direction in which the reaction must move to restore equilibrium?and why? And : Explain the observation for the test tube by referring to both collition theory and Le Chatelier's principle. I think that after the solution is diluted, there is an excess of products (because both the reactan concentrations would be halved - the are two reactants - and only one product's consentration would have to be halved). And therefore I think that the direction the reaction must move is to the left.

when 391758 and 394915 are divided by a certain three digit number, the three digit remainder is the same in each case. Find the divisor.

Yeah, could someone explain to me how to work it out???

Like, I got as far as

3153=quotient(1st equation)*divisor - quotient(2nd equation)*divisor

if you don't understand that, take no notice!! But yeah. Thanks to all who help!!

Is is said that the universe is currently expanding both in space and time but how do we know that the universe is not currently collapsing, since the collapse of time, would mean that everything would be in reverse. Ourselves, standing at any point in time would not be able to perceive the collapse of the universe because we would think that we are moving forward in time only because we remembered our transition from past to present.
