It means that 2000 sheets of that paper, 8.5 by 11 inches in size, would weigh 68 pounds. But the paper makers have gotten sloppy about such terminology, and if you want the real data, look for the metric figures on the paper package.

that is a weight of paper that is stiffer then news paper of note book paper and less then poster board cause that is considered 110#

regular drawing copier paper is 20 pound and is easy to fold or pass throught printers copiers or fax machines.

20Lb is normal 68lb is card stock

A ream weighs 68 pounds
