I came to this question just recently, when I discovered how to calculate the value of φ (phi). I found out this equation:
(a+b)/a=a/b=φ ; where a is the larger part, b is the smaller part, and a+b is the combination of the two.
Working with the equation a/b=φ, a=bφ.
Substituting bφ to a in the equation (a+b)/a=a/b, it will become:
(bφ+b)/bφ=bφ/b
[b(φ+1)]/bφ=φ
(φ+1)/φ=φ
φ+1=φ^2
φ^2-φ-1=0
Solvin this equation using the quadratic formula, φ is equal to:
φ = {1 + [5^(1/2)]}/2
with this, φ is approximately 1.618
With this solution, compared to the solution for the value of π, this is more concise and short. Actually, this is a LOT shorter.
Considering that both π and φ ARE irrational, and the value for φ can be computed as shown above, is there a shorter way to compute for the value of π?
I'm just so curious...

I've heard that your body replenishes all of its cells every 4 years. If this is the case then surely the donor cells of say - a donor heart - would be swapped out after 4 years (before they perished) and therefore all cells of the donor organ would be replaced by native cells. You wouldn't need to take imuno-suppressent drugs anymore as your body would not attack native cells. Just wondering!

They are unable to make out that 5 >3 in short they are unable to make out the greater number and lesser nos.Right now they are in grade 2 which is affecting them to do the sums like addition and substraction. They can do the addition without carrying but they forget to add the carry on which i have remind them all the time. In substraction they are well in without borrowing but with borrowing they cannot make out which one is greater and which one is lesser. they borrow even it is bot needed. that is the main problem. and only mean that they are unable to understand the number concept. I have tried with several method but in vain. pl help me to make tham understand the number concept.

I recently saw a TV show about this and they found evidence in the ocean where the Burmuda Triangle is now. Power plants, and such, were supposed to have existed and other things that gave us the idea over 10,000 yrs ago, that this was a super advanced city, and very large. Any comment on this subject? So many mysterious things have happened, is it connected to this ancient city perhaps?
