The Big Bang is when the universe was created with all matter inside it. Since then the universe is expanding so density decrease in the same speed as the expansion. This is why the universe gets colder even when it's a closed system (against the laws of thermodenamic...).
The universe defines space, so it has no shape, there is nothing "beyond" it.
On the other way putting the Big Bang theory aside, it could be that what we call universe is just the next structure after a galaxy and our limited view brings us to wrong conclusions.
I guess we will know better if a few decades.

I just loved the question!
I went through my books and got the answer.
You see, there are two very different theories coming here.
First is the Big Bang Sigularity theory.
It states that big bang is one explosion at one place.
The second is the M-theory.
it states that that the universe is the result of multiple Explosions.
As to your first Question, the answer is no.
matter is not spewing out from the place.
if it would have been like that then the universe density would be extermely high and the temperatures exceeding 1 million K everywhere.
Thats one reason. the second is scientists would have found it long before. Because of the radiation it would have released would have been great. Hence matter is not spewing out at a constant rate since the beginning of the universe.
Now the 3 Question is kind of tough.
We dont know how the Universe looks like, but it might just look as an uneven cloud.
that is only possible if the second theory is correct.
If the theory 1 is correct, then the universe is a sphere.
measuring the distance of inter stellar objects, not all of them are at a constant distance hence proving this wrong.
The density of the universe is outstandingly different, because you have space dust some where and some where blankness.
Yet the density of the universe is only 1-10particles/ m cube.
it may vary from 0.000000223g/m cube, to 0.00065g/m cube in inter stellar space.
Yes the universe is Expanding.
But we dont know for sure if it will stop or not. But if it does stop it try to shrink back.
We dont know if itll succeed or not.
The 3rd last Question u asked is the same we astronomers ask.
There is a theory Called String theory that provides an answer.
it says there is a dimension, called the 11th Dimension as the sequence goes, exists out side the frontier of expansion. It is also Called The dimension of gravity.
That is all i know.
But that is only an introduction.

The mention of singularity in any physical theory is a failure. We are not yet sure beyond any doubt that the Universe was born in The Big Bang singularity. In the Big Bang singularity, all our known laws of physics will break down. But there are some pointers which will lead to the Big Bang theory. They are the Cosmic Back ground radiation and the continuous expansion of the Universe. If there is less mass than a critical mass in the Universe, then the Universe will continue to expand. There is no space beyond the Universe. Space-time is a property of the Universe.

Shape of the universe is round like a sphere.
The Big Bang Singularity is not spewing out anything at this time.
It spewed once, and here we are.
The density of the universe is decreasing.
The expansion will stop someday- we think when gravity overcomes the rate of expansion.
Beyond the frontieer is empty space, yes.
DUDE, THERES WAY TOO MANY QUESITONS FOR ONE SIMPLE YAHOO QUESITON OK?

Questions like this thrill me---the results are even better. Big Bang theory? Are these the same scientist that have been working on a cure for the common cold? Can't they come up with a better theory than this? think about it---if there was a Big Bang to create the universe, that means that they were millions of Big Bangs going on. So tell me----why did they stop? Why aren't there any more Big Bangs going on?

Great questions. I don't think anyone can answer them with any degree of certainty. It's apparent you've studied and pondered these questions yourself. Your theories may be just as valid or more so than any of the current ones. As far as the shape of the universe is concerned, cosmologist can't agree if its flat, curved inward or curved outward. I visualize the universe as an infinitely large tire tube with an infinitesimally small inside diameter, a Singularity. This Singularity is the Big Bang of another universe. If the observed universe has taught us anything; it's Nature repeats itself. We know there are hundreds of billions of stars and probably hundreds of billions of solar systems as well as hundreds of billions of galaxies. So why not more than one universe? Since our minds cannot comprehend an endless universe or for that matter one that does end, we'll never know. Maybe it's something we can't know. If you look up cosmology on Wikipedia, it will lead you to all the current theories on the nature of the universe.

Wooo. To much conjecture. Too many questions. Pick one... "What Is the Shape of the Universe Today"
There are two words that come to mind: Endless and Infinite.
;-D I think the Universe is constantly recycling matter and energy forever. I don't believe in a single big bang, and certainly not in a singularity type of big bang.

The universe is sphere in shaped like a orange just bugged from the bottom. Nicolus Copernicus said this but earlier no one belived him than after 4 years 5 months a person named Megalin took his ship and a map and went into the ocean and started his journey he took the map in his hands and started marking the places in the middle one day he said " if i die please continue my work " to his companions and his companions continued his work and one day he completed his workand the places he marked got a bottom bugged spherical shape so he went to the king said and the king got it that the Earth is spherical in shape and Copernicus became the first person to find the earth's shape and Megalin became the proover of it. so still it is belived that the earth is bugged from the bottom and spherical.
