Trying to Conceive - October 2007

My cycle is normally just 23 days...I'm now on day 26 and no period! I know it's only 2 full days late, but I've been trying so long to get pregnant----on one hand, I want to take the test and know now, on the other, I'll be crushed if it's negative. I think I would rather wait and take one when it will be really accurate. I know many of the tests say they are accurate up to 3 days before your period is due, but I'd like to hear from people with real experience...was your home pregnancy test accurate after just 2 days late, or should I give it a few more days??

Yesterday my temp dipped below coverline at 6 dpo and today it went back up but FF website now says I didn't ovulate and they removed my red cross on there completely. I am so confused. I was so excited that my temp was above my coverline this morning but then I enter it in on the website and then it now says I didn't ovulate. What do you think? Has this happened to anyone else?

Any advice would be helpful. If my temp is still high or higher tomorrow will FF put my ovulation date back on my chart? Thanks in advance for the help!!!

well i had sex during my fertile days and i think the day my egg was supposed to be released...I don't understand i thought i wasn't going to get my period, but I did...why or is it just going to take time? opinions???

I don't know what to think. I am 12dpo today and tested first thing this morning using a supermarket brand pregnancy test. It almost straight away showed two blue lines - although the second blue line was really really faint - meaning that it was positive. Anyway, about an hour or so later, I tested using a First Response and it was negative - no matter how hard I tried to see a line. I feel so dissappointed! Why has this happened do you think?

my partner and i have decided that he will go to the doctors to check if there is any problems as we have been trying to concieve for a while now.
he is scared as he says it is degrading for him which i understand.
can anyone tell me the tests they will do on him please.?

also.
i ovulated the last 4 days thats what the test said anyway.
yesterday morning i had spotting and today a bit of brown dishcharge what does this mean.?

i think about babies and concieving the whole caboodle every day without fail it is sooo sad to know that there are women like myself that have having trouble trying to concieve but at the same time it is comforting to know that women like yourself are feeling the same stress and heartache that i feel and you can relate back to these women i dont feel so alienated now since i found this site and i have asked some pretty extreme questions about having babies ttc ect... anway i just wanted to say thankyou for sharing your problems and for answering mine too it helps so much when you get answers off women who know what your going through so good luck ladies and thankyou once again. ok so i am only 23 and i have had around 5 ruptured cysts since i was 14 years old. i tried to talk to my doctor and he just suggested i get put back on the birth control pill to correct this issue. well first off, i was on the pill all those years origionally to regulate my menstral cycle. basically that was the only options he gave me. honestly he could care less, said it was nothing. well i've been off the pill now for a year and a half and i am now trying to conceive my first child. so far its been 7 months and still no baby. i finally bought those ovulation test strips and so far this month i have never ovulated. i started doing some research and i heard of this polycystic ovary syndrom. i had never heard of it before and it makes me mad that my DR could care less about my issue and then not inform me on this disorder. it said that it can cause infertility and my question is if anyone has ever had this or experienced a ruptured cyst & have you had any problems trying to conceive?

ME AND MY HUSBAND ARE TRYING TO HAVE ANOTHER CHILD. WE HAVE 2 WONDER ANGELS AND WE WOULD LIKE TO ADD ONE MORE TO OUR FAMILY. WELL, AT THE BEGINNING OF MY LAST PACK I WAS SUPPOST TO START ON A SUNDAY BUT I DIDN'T START THE PACK TILL TUESDAY. SO I TOOK MONDAY AND TUESDAYS TOGETHER AND THE OTHER I THREW OUT. I STOPPED MY BC PILLS ON A THURSDAY AND THAT LEFT 3 STILL IN THE PACK. WE LL,SUNDAY I STARTED HAVING THIS BROWN THICK DISCHARGE INSTEAD OF MY PERIOD. I AM WONDERING COULD I BE PREGNANT OR IS IT JUST WHERE I AM COMING OFF THESE PILLS. I HAVE HAD HARDLY ANY CRAMPING AND I ALWAYS CRAMP TO DEATH. I can't believe that I probably get pregnant after the broke up with that asshole ex boyfriend, what should I do with it if I am really pregnant? I am not sure if I am pregnant, because this month the period hasn't come yet, also I feel sick these days, but last week I bought the birth control test, it said that I wasn't pregnant. Has anyone had a problem with false negatives on the first response early result pregnancy tests? I took a test last night and it came up with a faint positive line. Took a blood test today and it came back negative with HCG at .5, right after they called me with the test results I stupidly took another home pregnancy test and it was a darker positive. Now I'm just frustrated and disappointed. Is there anything that can cause me to keep getting false positive pregnany tests? I'm not on any fertility medicines.

What is the safest amount of time to wait in between pregnancies? I am ready for the next baby, but I don't know when it will be healthy for my body to be pregnant again.

My Mother had endometriosis. She had to take fertility drugs in order to have me. She kept trying to have kids afterward but was never able to .

The first time I had sex with my fiancee I had never taken birth control before. I also skipped birth control by mistake (honestly) a couple times and didn't get pregnant.

I'm scared that when we get married and actually start trying, I won't be able to have a baby. Is there a test or something I can take?

I am not looking at conceiving my second child yet, but I am just curious on something that we have been told. My husband and me have been told that when we want to have another baby, that we should start a year earlier than what we want because it is harder to conceive the second time. With our son (who is now 4 months), we conceived after 1 time of unprotected sex. We are thinking to have our next child in 4-5 years, so should we start trying in 3-4 years? Also, I am on the pill so this would need to be taken in consideration also.

i should know all this, since i have 3 kids, but now that we are trying for the last one, i am curious about how long it would take to show in a blood test. we had a positive ovulation test saturday. please only comment if you know something about it. some places say 4-5 days and others say as many as 13. whats the truth? please some helpful advice would be great. First off I haven't had a period since the first of July which was after getting off of birthcontrol. I started having symptoms of pregnancy I mean every possible symptom the week of Sep 10th. Took preg test all came back neg, so went and had a ultrasound done and it came up that I had a oviarian cyst. I also took a thyroid test which came bck normal. It seems odd to me that it would be the cyst causing these signs or the birthcontrol since I did't experience anything for two months. I go to a OBGYN next month but just wondering what some of you thought and if anyone has been through this before. I still feel and look pregnant, so is it still possible for me to be? I never wanted to be or thought I was until I started having symptoms last month.
