my period started october 18, my periods are irregular, they usually last 7 to 8 days, im having a hard time figuring our my luteal phase and when i ovulate. please send baby dust my way, ive already signed up with my monthly cycles.com i need adivce on when my bf and I should start trying. what are the signs of ovulation?

Some signs of ovulation will be a pain or sharpness on either side of you abdomen. Some women have no signs of ovulation. If you are trying your best bet would be to get an ovulation detector kit. My advice for those would be to get a reusable one, otherwise you will be spending at least $20 each month which could really add up considering you will be buying at least 2 pregnancy tests each month. I just bought the maybemom ovulation detector. They sell them at target.com for $50. It may seem like a lot of money right now, but if you think about it you will be saving money in the long run. The maybemom is super easy to use it is detected by saliva. My cousin bought it after trying for 2 years and got preggo within 2 months of having it. I wish you the best because I'm ttc as well, for 7 months now. Hopefully we will find out soon if I am preggo b/c I have been having some of the symptoms. Lots of baby dust your way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am in the same boat. Irregular periods...the whole bit. I went to the doctor and he said right away to buy an ovulation kit. We have been ttc for 1 year and no luck yet. I have been using www.fertilityfriend.com to keep track of my periods, symptoms, and ovulation. I find it very useful. Baby dust to you!:)

Some articles say that signs of ovulation include raised temperature and increased cervical mucus. I just got an answer about 30 minutes ago that was very helpful, it said we are fertile the day after our cycle ends, and can ovulate 4-5 days later, possibly. I hope this helps - been there!!!!!!!
