When I had my period (around 5 days late), I was in excruciating pain. When I was on the toilet, it was extremely gloppy and there were two large glops of goo (yea, haha, my words) but they had grayish/purplish goop in the them, and some white stuff. It was really gross, and when I was done (after about 2 hours), I felt like I was going to pass out. I could barely walk and I was so light-headed.

I was told that you don't have tremendous pain when you miscarry, but I've never had a period like this before. If it was a miscarraige, it would make sense because of the timing when my fiance and I had intercourse.

I was also told that you bleed for a long time, but I'm barely bleeding and it's been 7 days (which is still a longer than usual, I usually have it for 5 days). I don't have health insurance, and I feel fine. I just don't know if I should set up an appointment with planned parenthood or something. Please give me your input! Thank you!

so i tend to inform people of possible side effects & risks that i've come across in my own research, not to scare them away from anything, but to answer their question as fully as possible. (and i always post sources, so it's not like i'm making them up!)

i don't try to push anyone into anything, nor do i condemn or judge, i just give facts, & wish them good luck in *their* decisions. is there something WRONG with that??

i know that *I* want all the information possible to make a fully informed decision, esp when it may effect my baby! i want to *KNOW* what might happen, so i can fully & realistically weigh *all* the options.

why is it that some people on here seem to like to stay ignorant (and/or keep others ignorant) of any potential side effects or risks associated with anything???

Does she have time to turn around? I mean she has been kicking at my bladder for quite some time now so I'm assuming she's been in this position for awhile. With my first she was head down at this point. I'm worried because I do nto want a c-section but will have one if need be.

I am 25 weeks pregnant, and I feel like it is taking FOREVER to get to the 37-40 week mark. Is there anything I can do to make the time go by faster, or "seem" to go by faster. I am so bord. I don't work right now. So I have nothing to do.

last week sometime, my guy and I had unprotected sex...we know for a fact what was going to happen, so we decided to take the Plan B pill. At the time this happened my period should have came on that day or the next...so anyways...i took the pill later the next night. About 3-4 days after that, I took a pregnancy test b/c I missed my period..and it said negative. I read on the Plan B instructions that if my period is still not on within a week, then pregnancy should be considered. I'm trying not to panic and freak myself out because its been a week and still no period...Will the Plan B throw my body off like that or DId I test to early or Should I really consider pregnancy..or all? I want to go to the doctor but I want to give my body enough time so that whatever it is...it is confirmed by a doctor and not a situation where I need to wait and come back. Whats going on...seriously...pregnancy, cycle, and Plan B experts!!!??

I know they say having sex can help bring on labor but i have also heard of a woman achieving an orgasm herself is just the same. I thought it had something to do with sperm? Where does masturbating fall in place? Just curious.. i dont get it..

Just found out about 3 weeks ago,
Im extremely happy and excited (we both are) My boyfriend and I were planning on getting married within the next 2 years so this was a tad bit off and unplanned but not too far off...
Hes being really awesome about it and has agreed to support us while I finish Grad School (4-5 years clinical psychology) hes already got his own buisness and has a steady income....
HOWEVER,
I am 21, my dad still sees me as his little princess (im the only girl) and I do not think he is quite ready to "see me off" yet...
I feel so bad everytime I see him (he doesnt know yet) because he has no idea and will most likely be extremely worried (as most dads would be) I wasnt even ready to tell him we were moving in together!
Im not scared to tell him, I just dont want to see him sad or hurt (he's my knight in shining armour afterall) anyone have any advice??

I had a miscarriage a couple of moths ago and I think it was due to previous abortions (that last one was over 2 years ago). However this time around i am feeling the same as last time, no symptoms of pregnancy! ie: like nausea and vomiting. All i have is sore breasts. Can this be a sign of miscarriage again?

I'm 7 months pregnant so I know it's a bit early for me to go into labor. This is my first pregnancy though and I've been reading up on the three stages of labor so I'm thinking I should go to the hospital during the active phase. I've heard of peole going though and getting sent back home. What is everything that has to happen before I really need to go? Is it if and when my water breaks, when the contractions get unbearable? Or what? How did you know when to go/call? Thanks for the answers! I'm really nervous if you can't tell :-)

I was working for a huge Risk Management company in London and had a 6 month probabtion period, at 3 months i was told that my work was not up to standard and i was to improve so probabtion was extended by another 3 months (9 months total) I told them i was 13 weeks pregnant about 2 weeks after this and then 2 weeks later i was called into the office saying i still was not improving even though i thought i had and i had been working so hard, the examples they gave me i argued but was not taken seriously, they asked me what i wanted to do , i said stay and they said you either resign or go through disciplinary i felt so on the spot and asked if i could go away and think about it i was told no, so in tears i finally resigned not wanting the stress of disciplinary. Could i take this further do you think? I keep thinking if i had not told them about the pregnancy i would still be there.

Hello - It has been confirmed - I'M HAVING A BABY!!!
We're trying to decide if we should get a mid wife or ob/gyn to be the primary medical contact. I feel a midwife could be a more personal experience - how ever am not sure the are fully able to handle everything that might come up??

What are your thoughts?
